Reiki

Reiki healing uses Universal Energy to re-align, rejuvenate, and heal personal energy through the major energy points, also known as chakras, of the body. This promotes relaxation, emotional release, stress reduction and can also result in physical healing.

The Healing Process
The style of Reiki I use is hands-free and requires nothing of the client but to keep a clear mind. The session usually lasts around 30 minutes, but can go as long as 45 minutes to an hour. I administer Reiki by hovering my hands over the chakras and allowing the energy to move into the client. If there is a specific problem area, such as the neck or shoulders, I can also work on those spots.

Reiki can be done in-person or at a distance. Distance Reiki requires that I have your name and location so I have a focus to send the energy to.

Reiki for Animals
Reiki can also be performed with animals for their enjoyment and benefit. Typically animals are more energetically balanced than humans, but they can still get stressed, run down, and in need an extra boost of energy. Reiki can be especially helpful in speeding along the healing process for animals recovering from an injury or sickness.

I prefer to work with animals in person, and I am willing to travel a reasonable distance from Vergennes, VT to meet either at your home or a local park. The session generally lasts between 10 and 20 minutes. I can do Reiki for animals at a distance, but I will need a photo (digital is fine) and name as a focus.

Chakras
There are seven major chakras -

The Crown Chakra - located at the top of the head, it holds the connection to your higher self. Associated with the color indigo. It corresponds to the alignment of the whole.

The Third Eye Chakra - located in between and slightly above the eyebrows, it provides clarity and insight. Associated with the color purple. It corresponds with the head, face, eyes, brain, memory, and sinus.

The Throat Chakra - located above the base of the throat, it holds the ability for emotional release, as the holding in and expression of words. Associated with the color blue. It corresponds with the throat, neck, thyroid and jaw.

The Heart Chakra - located at the center of the rib cage, it is an emotional center for love, understanding, and compassion, and also holds a sense of self. Associated with the color green. It corresponds with the heart, arms and lungs.

The Solar Plexus Chakra - located right below the rib cage, it allows calm and collection in stressful situations, and holds the sense of home and family. Associated with the color yellow. It corresponds with the liver, stomach and small intestine.

The Sacral Chakra - located at and slightly below the belly button, it is your sexual center and holds self-esteem and personal power. Associated with the color orange. It corresponds with the reproductive organs, bladder and kidneys.

The Root Chakra - located at the base of the body at the pelvis, it holds the instinctual urges of survival, security, mating, and is integral in grounding and connection to the physical plane. Associated with the color red. It corresponds to the large intestine, rectum, hips and legs.
